Be my Valentine... or not!

I got all dressed up - ready for an evening that was actually planned quite differently.

Romantic, playful, a little tension in the air... at least in my imagination.

The reality?

He first needed "time to arrive".

And while I already knew inside that this evening wasn't going to be what I had hoped for, I went home and sent my girlfriend a voice message and told her unfiltered how much this date was falling apart.

Between rolling my eyes, quiet frustration and a touch of impatience, I realised:

I was definitely ready. He clearly wasn't.

After this legendary voicemail, I decided that I wasn't going to let it spoil the evening. If it's Valentine's Day, if it's all that effort, if it's this atmosphere... then I'll just enjoy it in my own way.

And let's put it this way:

Alone, I'm pretty good at giving myself what I'd actually hoped for ?.

Sometimes dates don't go as planned.

But sometimes the best, most honest and most seductive moments come from exactly that... just without company.
